  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon Aachi Channa Masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  • Drain the soaked chickpeas, rinse, and cook them in a pressure cooker with water and a pinch of salt until soft. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter, then add chopped onions and sauté until golden.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
  • Add tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil separates.
  • Stir in Aachi Channa Masala powder and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Add the cooked chickpeas and 1 cup of water. Let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, chapati, or naan. Optionally, add a squeeze of lemon for extra tang.
